Letting vehicle owners earn from idle cars.
01Problem
Vehicle owners can't earn from vehicles that sit idle. Rent2Ryde is a platform that connects those owners with renters.
Who it's for
- Renters
- Vehicle owners
- Admins and operations
02Role
I was the sole product designer on Rent2Ryde. I worked on:
- UX research and flows
- UI design and the design system
- Handoff, working with the developers
03Process
- Study. I looked at existing rental apps.
- Talk. I spoke with owners and renters.
- Map. I mapped the flows for each type of user.
- Prototype. I built a prototype and had it reviewed.
04Solution
A mobile app for renters, built around the full journey of a booking.
Renter home
- Search for a car to drive, with the upcoming trip, wallet and recent bookings in one place.
- A trip tracker shows each stage: booked, pre-trip, on the road and return.
- Quick actions for trip history, support, invoices and receipts.
Trip and extension flow
- Booking confirmation, a trip timeline and a pre-trip inspection.
- An active-trip view, with a way to request more time.
- Extension requests show their status while the owner decides. The screens cover waiting, declined and approved, and let the renter message the owner or cancel.

05Result
Design handed off to developers. The project is in progress.
